Studies have found that as many as two out of
three people trust their sense of smell, taste and sight
more than the use-by-date labels when purchasing food at
grocery stores. Health experts say that this finding is
alarming as harmful bacteria usually cannot be detected
by just smell or taste. According to the Center for
Disease Control, around one in six Americans get sick
each year from food borne diseases. |
