Fustal World Championship
五人制足球錦標賽
Fustal, an officially
sanctioned form of indoor soccer, will be played from
November 21st to December 5th with sixteen international
teams competing in the FIFA Futsal World Championship
2004. The event is held every four years. Chinese-Taipei
has an honor bestowed on it as the host of the event this
year. The term “fustal,” “fut” is Latin for “foot” and
“sal” is Spanish for “indoors.” Since the game can be
played indoors, it has become popular and has attracted
many youngsters.
