Disneyland amusement parks are the biggest and most famous amusement parks, but which amusement parks come in second? Those would be Universal Parks and Resorts. Sometimes called Universal Studios Parks, or just Universal, this amusement park company has been amazing people for almost as long as Disney has.
Rides at Universal Parks and Resorts are based on movies, mostly those made by Universal Studios. The most famous ride was Jaws in Orlando, Florida, before it closed. It can still be found in Osaka, Japan. The park's movie-themed rides also include Men in Black Alien Attack, an E.T. Adventure, and many others.
In 2010, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter first opened in Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park in Florida. It is based on the widely popular Harry Potter films and has a copy of Hogwarts, the school Harry attends. In 2014, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened up at both Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Japan. Another opened up in Hollywood this year in April. All have roller coaster▼ rides and parts related to the book series to satisfy any visiting fan.
