| Titled "Teaching English Writing: Inspire Students & Help Develop Valuable Essay Writing Skills," the workshop, held in the Taipei Municipal Song Shan Senior High School, was hosted by Larisa Duravetz, a seasoned teacher of The China Post English writing class. |
這場研討會名為「英文寫作教學：鼓勵與協助學生培養重要寫作技巧」，主講人為英文中國郵報英文寫作班的資深教師拉莉莎杜羅斐茲，舉辦地點則選在臺北市立松山高中。 |

| "Writing in English is very different from writing in other languages," Duravetz explained, noting that many of her students who speak fluent English still find it difficult to write an essay in English. She explained that there are certain rules that one needs to follow. |
杜羅斐茲表示：「英文寫作和其他語言的作文很不一樣。」她指出她有很多學生雖然會說一口流利的英文，但卻仍然覺得寫英文作文很困難。她解釋有些寫作原則是需要遵守的。 |

| This is why she came up with a step-by-step system to help people learn these writing techniques. Her system also introduces one element at a time, so students will not be overwhelmed. |

| Sueanne Su of Yang Ming Senior High School lauded the lecture as being of high theoretical and practical value, while Vincent Lin of Cheng Kung Senior High School said the lecture was well organized and Duravetz's teaching methods could be applied to students with varying levels of English proficiency. |

| Several new areas will face water-rationing measures this month due to the low water levels in Taiwan's reservoirs, said the Water Resources Agency (WRA). The agency said that if water levels continue to drop, it will consider allocating agricultural irrigation water for household and industrial use. |
水利署表示，由於台灣水庫的水位偏低，所以有幾個新區域本月將面臨限水措施。水利署表示，如果水位繼續下降，該署會考慮調播農業灌溉用水做家庭與工業用水之用。 |
