Josh tells Abby about his new mobile
phone.
Abby: Wow! Is that your new cell phone?
Josh: You bet. Cool, isn't it? My old one was really out-of-date.
Abby: Well, this one sure is up-to-date. But I thought your old phone worked fine.
Josh: Actually, I really needed this one. Last
weekend, the old charger caught fire
when I plugged it in. Good thing it
happened when I was around; otherwise,
I might have burned down the
apartment building!
Abby: Okay, so it stands to reason that you
needed a new phone—but what made
you choose this model?
Josh: I think it looks cool! As for the old phone,
I gave it to my friend.
