Good Cho’s — Simply Good

Located in Xinyi Public Assembly Hall, Good Cho’s is a charming establishment with a unique style. Manager Ernie Wang says “Gathering good things in one place is what Good Cho’s is about.”

Founded by the organizers of the Simple Life festival, Good Cho’s is devoted to promoting simple living. Stepping onto the premises, you see a spacious room that joins shopping and dining areas, an open kitchen, and windows that allow light to fill the room. Besides a palpable sense of simplicity, Good Cho’s is also infused with love for Taiwan’s landscape and art. The corridor displays artwork from Taiwanese photographers and sculptors, and Taiwanese produce, handicrafts and books are available in the shopping area.

On weekends, Good Cho’s becomes a stage for local musicians, while the square outside holds the Simple Market featuring products from farmers, independent artists, and craftsmen.

Bagels might not strike you as Taiwanese, but Good Cho’s manages to give them a local slant, using indigenous ingredients such as sweet potatoes, mangoes, and red beans for the dough and filling.

Looking out the window at Taipei 101, you get the sense that understatement and extravagance can coexist in Taipei. Good Cho’s does more than offer food and local culture; it provides a setting for Taiwan’s modern, urban citizens to get back in touch with the simple life.

位在信義公民會館內的好,丘是間有著獨特風格的迷人店鋪。「好的東西聚集在一起，就是好,丘。」店經理王鵬淩如是說。

由簡單生活節的籌劃者所創立的好,丘致力推廣簡單生活。走進店裡，你看見的是結合購物與餐飲區的寬敞空間、開放式廚房以及能夠讓光線充滿室內的窗戶。除了隨處可及的簡單感，好,丘也注入對台灣風景與藝術的關愛。穿廊上展出台灣攝影師和雕塑家的藝術作品，購物區則可買到台灣農產品、手作小物與書籍。

每到週末，好,丘就成了本土音樂工作者的表演舞台，同時外頭廣場還舉辦簡單市集，以農友、獨立藝術家與手作達人的產品作號召。

貝果可能讓你覺得不夠台灣味，但好,丘在麵糰與餡料中使用地瓜、芒果、紅豆等本土食材，設法增添一絲本土味。
