On March 21, 2019, Ichiro Suzuki walked off the baseball diamond for the last time as a pro to a roaring ovation at a packed Tokyo Dome. As he approached the dugout, the baseball legend was met by teary-eyed teammates and Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr., who had flown out for the occasion. With an illustrious MLB career behind him, the 45-year-old Ichiro is a shoo-in for the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He will be remembered as one of baseball’s most gifted right fielders and batters.
