　　一年一度的教師節來臨，是時候表達感謝了~就算不是教師節，在我們生命裡總會有幾位是我們需要感謝的人。英文裡除了我們常講的”Thank you”之外，還有不少「表達感謝」的英文說法。而當別人對你表示感謝時，你又會如何用英文回應呢?今天我們就來學學幾個表達「感謝」的英文用法

日本鳥居 | 通往神域的入口 Torii: The Spiritual Symbol of Japan

　　While the origins of these aesthetic-looking gates are not clear, many historians believe that they have been imported from India or China. In India, gates called torana appear at entrances to Buddhist and Hindu temples. The name torana also sounds a bit similar to torii, which further adds to the theory. In China, similar structures known as pailou are built at the entrances to Buddhist and Taoist temples as well. Japanese legend, however, says differently..

　　雖然這些外觀精美的門之起源尚不明，但許多歷史學家認為它們是從印度或中國傳入的。在印度，稱為托拉納的門出現在佛教和印度教寺院的入口處。托拉納這個名字聽起來也跟鳥居的日文發音（torii）有點類似，這進一步增加了該理論的說服力。在中國，被稱為牌樓的類似建物也設於佛寺和道觀的進門處。然而，日本的傳說卻有不同的說法。

Nicole found a job back in the US after finishing her studies in Greece.
N: Nicole S: Sam
N:Hi, Sam. Here are the keys to my room.
S:Oh, do you need help moving out?
N:No, it's OK. I’ve already packed everything.
S:Oh. OK. What time are you heading out? Maybe I could cook something for you before you leave.
N:That's really nice of you, but I'm leaving soon. So I think I'll have to grab something at the airport. I'm definitely going to miss the food here.
S:If you ever find yourself back in Europe, you can always make a stop in Greece.
N:Yes. I surely will. There's no way I can pass up an opportunity to return. I've really adapted to the lifestyle here. I don't know how I'll readjust to my country.

妮可在希臘完成她的學業後在美國那裡找到了一份工作。
妮　可： 嗨，山姆。這是我房間的鑰匙。
山　姆： 哦，妳需要我幫妳搬家嗎？
妮　可： 不用，沒關係。我已經將所有東西打包好了。
