The 1960s was a decade that changed the styles of music people listened to, the way they dressed, and what kinds of cars they drove. With their loud motors and fast engines, these classic automobiles were the symbols of coolness. Though the cars were built tough, they were not built to last. These once-prized classic cars are now either in garbage heaps or have been left to rust in dusty garages. Enter the mechanics of Car SOS 2. This British duo seek out these old rust buckets and restore them to their former glory.
Car SOS 2 tells the stories of owners who have let their automobiles rust from years of sitting in garages. Family members contact Car SOS 2 in secret to repair the car behind the owner's back. The rebuilding takes up to three weeks. However, this is easier said than done. Many of the cars featured on the show are nothing more than empty shells. In one episode, a 1960 Ford Cortina was in serious need of some hard work as the mechanics had to hunt for new steering, brakes, pistons, seats, and a sunroof. The extra work is well worth the effort, however, when the overjoyed owners are finally reunited with their fully remade classic. Check out this car and more on Car SOS 2.
