Gary：Wow! This is a cool restaurant! I've always wanted to try authentic Indian cuisine. Thank you so much for bringing me here today.
Santi：Oh, don't mention it. I come here almost every month with my family. We've been eating here since my parents immigrated to America.
Gary：Do you also eat Indian food at home?
Santi：Most of the time. We live closely with our relatives in an Indian neighborhood. We often have traditional Indian dinners together. Both my mother and aunt are great cooks.
Gary：Sounds great. So, you've got to help me with the menu. I have no idea how to order food here.
Santi：I assume that you don't like your food too hot. Am I right?
Gary：You're correct. I can handle medium hot dishes, but I have trouble with very hot food.
Santi：You do like chicken, don't you? How about some Chicken Masala? It's creamy and not too hot. We could also order some naan to go with the curry.
Gary：What is naan?
Santi：It's a kind of Indian bread. Do you know how they make naan? They stick the dough on the inside of an oven called a Tandoor.
Gary：Naan sounds lovely. Why don't we get one vegetarian dish? What do you recommend?
Santi：We could try Matar Paneer. It's got green peas and cheese in it.(To the waitress) Excuse me. I think we're ready to order.
Waitress：Sure. What would you like?
Santi：We'd like to have one Chicken Masala, one Matar Paneer, and two orders of naan.
Waitress：Would you like drinks as well?
Santi：Two Lassi, please.
Waitress：Certainly. Anything else?
Santi：That's all for now. Thank you.

Gary：哇！真酷的餐廳！我一直想去道地的印度餐廳。謝謝你今天帶我來這裡。
Santi：不要客氣，我和家人幾乎每個月都會來這裡。自從我父母移民到美國來後，我們就都來這裡吃東西。
Gary：你在家也吃印度食物嗎？
Santi：大部分都吃印度食物。我們和親戚們都住在同一個印度社區，我們常聚在一起吃傳統的印度晚餐，我媽媽和我阿姨的手藝都很好喔。
Gary：真好耶，那就請你幫我看菜單了，我不知道要點什麼。
Santi：我想你不喜歡太辣的食物，對嗎？
Gary：沒錯，我能吃中辣的菜，太辣的不行。
Santi：你喜歡吃雞肉吧？那印度咖哩雞肉怎麼樣？有一點奶味、不會太辣，我們也可以點一些咖哩烤餅。
Gary：烤餅是什麼？
Santi：是一種印度麵包，你知道烤餅是怎麼做的嗎？他們把麵糰黏在一種叫做Tandoor 的烤爐內側烤。
Gary：聽起來很有趣耶。我們可以來點些蔬菜，你推薦什麼呢？
Santi：我們可以試試咖哩豌豆起司，它裡面有綠豌豆和起司。（對女服務生說）不好意思，我們可以點餐了。
Waitress：好的，要點什麼呢？
Santi：我們要一份印度咖哩雞肉、一份咖哩豌豆起司和兩份烤餅。
Waitress：要點飲料嗎？
Santi：要，兩杯拉西。
Waitress：好的，還需要別的嗎？
Santi：暫時這些就夠了，謝謝你。
