Spring into Tokyo
Tokyo is a fun city to visit any time of the year, but this spring, the city is offering even more exciting events and attractions that are sure to draw in the crowds.
Tokyo blooms in April, as people gather here to view cherry blossoms. Among the many parks where these beauties of nature can be viewed, don't miss Shinjuku Gyoen and Ueno Park, each of which has more than one thousand cherry trees.
For a mix of nature and fashion, visit Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku. This recently opened fashion mall houses over twenty clothing stores to satisfy any fashion lover. It also has an open rooftop garden with plenty of trees and plants for relaxing after a day of shopping.
If you prefer faster-paced fun, there's Tokyo Disney Resort, which turns thirty this year. Called “The Happiness Year,” the anniversary celebration includes three events starting this spring. Ride through the 3-D galaxy of Star Wars and experience more than fifty story combinations on the new Star Tours ride. Then, see Mickey and his friends on amazing floats in Disneyland's daily parades. At DisneySea, travel with Mickey and Duffy to learn about spring celebrations around the world.
